PART 3: WEEK 13

Final Poster

TITLE: The Dreamer

Fig 1.1 - Final Poster

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I did a simple surrealism poster, My work is based on the biography we are asked to do. This work represents me, the dreamer. I want people to see and understand how interesting and beautiful dreaming is. I want the viewer to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their own dreams. I want people to see that creativity is not a fleeting moment but a universe within us, waiting to be explored.

We are all dreamers in our own way, orbiting worlds of ideas and crafting constellations of inspiration.

The elements inside my poster are:
Eyes Obscured by wings: The feathered wings covering my face signifies a dreamy, introspective state. It implies that imagination taking over my perception, suggesting I “see” the world differently.

Golden Orb: Held close to my hands, this bright orb symbolize the hope and dreams that I hold close to me.

The Moon: I sit on the Moon, which is associated with dreams. This placement displays me as someone who is grounded in the surreal, using imagination as a foundation for my identity.

Saturn and Uranus : These planets signify exploration and wonder about the universe. Saturn represent structure and creativity coexisting. Meanwhile, Uranus brings themes of uniqueness and innovation.

Music Notes and stars circling around me: Pink music note and stars that orbits around me imply that music and creativity are central to my world.

The Night Sky in a circle: A deep, starry background sits behind the composition, evoking vastness, dreams, and infinite potential. It is the canvas where dreams come alive.

Teal Background: The soft, calming teal complements the night sky and balances the dreamlike atmosphere with serenity.

Black Circles: Scattered around the composition, these black dots represent my abstract thoughts.

My title which is also my motto : “The Dreamer”.

Final Animation

For the animation of my poster, I have decide to make the following elements animated:

- Planets (Uranus and Saturn) - This two planets are bobbing up and down slowly.

- Golden Orb - Bobbing up and down also.

- Moon - 360 rotation clockwise.

- Starry sky circle in the back - 30 degree rotation clockwise, then 30 degrees rotation anti - clockwise.

- Music notes and stars - Using a path I drew along the white circle around me, I copied the path and placed it in the "positions" of the stars and music notes, allowing them to follow the path and making it look like the elements are orbiting around me. Combined with the use of opacity, the orbit of the elements looks more natural.

- Feathered wings covering my eyes - Using the puppet tool, I made the feathered wings open and close.
